Mathematics Teaching License Course Requirements

This page explains which method courses count toward lower-secondary and upper-secondary Mathematics Type I licenses.

Required Method Courses

For a lower-secondary Mathematics Type I license, you must complete both Mathematics Education Method and Mathematics Instruction Method. For an upper-secondary Mathematics Type I license, only Mathematics Education Method is required. Mathematics Instruction Method does not count toward the required credits for the upper-secondary license.
