Physics A Class Placement

For the 2025 academic year, students are assigned to a Physics A class based on the placement test held at the beginning of April.

How Your Physics A Class Is Assigned

The result of the placement test held at the beginning of April determines whether you take Physics A (Standard) or Physics A (Introductory). Students who have already developed a basic understanding of physics take Physics A (Standard).
