Obtaining a Remote-Area Health Insurance Certificate

Students living away from home are advised to obtain a remote-area health insurance certificate in case they need medical care unexpectedly.

How to obtain the certificate

If you live away from home, obtaining a remote-area health insurance certificate is recommended so that you can receive medical care in an emergency. Ask the health insurance association or other insurer through which your parent is enrolled about issuing the certificate.
