Eligibility for the FE Examination

Students who have graduated from, or are expected to graduate from, a four-year engineering university when they apply may take the FE examination.

Who may take the FE examination?

A graduate of a four-year engineering university is eligible to take the FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) examination. A student who is expected to graduate when applying for the examination is also eligible. Passing the FE examination allows registration as an EI.
