Registering as an Associate Professional Engineer

Eligibility and registration

If you pass the First Professional Engineer Examination, you may register as an Associate Professional Engineer by submitting an application. There are no specific restrictions on eligibility for taking the First Examination, so you can take it while enrolled at the university. To take the Second Professional Engineer Examination, you must have passed the First Examination or completed a JABEE program, and you must also have practical work experience. The shortest required period of practical experience is four years.
