Credit Substitution for Teaching Licence Requirements

For the 2026 academic year, up to five of the required 30 credits may be replaced by credits from courses independently established by the university.

How the Credit Substitution Works

Of the required 30 credits, up to 5 credits may be replaced by credits earned in courses independently established by the university. The required number of credits in subject-specialist courses is reduced by the number of credits earned in these independently established courses. For example, if you earn 5 credits in these courses, you must earn at least 25 credits in subject-specialist courses.
