What a “-” Grade Means

For students at Tokyo Senju Campus in the School of Future Science in the 2026 academic year, a “-” grade indicates withdrawal from a course and results in failure without credit being earned.

Withdrawal and Course Results

A “-” grade indicates that you are considered to have withdrawn from the course. The result is a failing grade, and you do not earn the course credits. This grade may be assigned when you are considered to have abandoned the course partway through, such as by not taking an examination or by having insufficient class attendance.
