How Grade “一” Is Recorded

For the 2026 academic year, this page explains how Grade “一” is recorded when a student is considered to have abandoned a course.

Meaning and record of Grade “一”

Grade “一” means that the course was assessed as failed because the student did not earn the credits. It is assigned when a student is considered to have abandoned the course, such as by not taking an examination or other academic assessment, or by having insufficient attendance. The grade notification shows “一,” but the academic transcript does not list it. The GP is 0, and the score field is recorded as “Withdrawn.”
