How Excess Human Science Credits Are Counted

For the 2025 academic year, credits beyond the 16-credit Human Science limit are generally classified as discretionary course credits, with an exception for the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Credits Above the 16-Credit Human Science Limit

For students in the Faculty of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus in the 2025 academic year, Human Science credits earned beyond 16 credits are counted as credits for courses selected and earned at the student's discretion. This classification does not apply to students in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
