Upper-Secondary Mathematics Type I Teaching License: Credit Requirement
For the 2026 curriculum at the Faculty of Engineering on the Tokyo Senju Campus, the license requires at least 30 credits from the listed specialized-subject courses, including all shaded courses.
Required Credits
To qualify for an upper-secondary Mathematics Type I teaching license, earn at least 30 credits from the listed specialized-subject courses, including all shaded courses. Up to 5 of these credits may be replaced by credits from category 4, "courses independently set by the university." If category 4 credits are used, the required number of specialized-subject credits is reduced by the same number. For example, using 5 category 4 credits reduces the specialized-subject requirement to 25 credits.
