Category 4 Credits for a Senior High School Teaching License

For the 2025 curriculum at the School of Engineering, Category 4 subjects are optional, but earned credits may reduce the Category 2 credit requirement.

How Category 4 Credits Are Treated

When applying for a senior high school teaching license, you must complete all credits offered by the university for Categories 1, 2, and 3. Category 4 subjects are not required. However, if you earn Category 4 credits, those credits may be counted toward the total required credits. The required number of Category 2 credits is reduced by the same number of Category 4 credits earned.
