Subject-Specialist Course Credits for the Teaching License
For the 2026 academic year, you need 30 credits from the specified subject-specialist courses, with limited replacement by independently established university courses.
Required Credits
Earn at least 30 credits from the subject-specialist courses listed above, including the shaded courses. Up to 5 of these 30 credits may be replaced by credits earned in courses independently established by the four universities. The required number of subject-specialist credits is reduced by the number of replacement credits used. For example, earning 5 replacement credits means you must earn at least 25 subject-specialist credits.
