Category 4 Credits for an Upper-Secondary Type I License

For the 2026 Faculty of Engineering curriculum at Tokyo Senju Campus, category 4 is optional, but earned category 4 credits may reduce the required credits in category 2.

How Category 4 Credits Are Counted

Completing category 4 is not compulsory for an upper-secondary type I license. If you earn category 4 credits, they may be counted toward the required credits. In that case, the required credits for category 2's specialized matters relating to the subject are reduced only by the number of category 4 credits you earn.
