Credit Substitution for an Ordinary Industrial Teaching Licence

For the 2026 academic year at the Tokyo Senju Campus, certain credits for an ordinary Industrial teaching licence may be earned through specialist courses related to the licence subject.

How Specialist Courses May Count

Under the cited provision of the amended Enforcement Regulations of the Education Personnel Certification Act, when an ordinary Industrial teaching licence is awarded, all or part of the credits for each subject’s teaching-method courses and courses covering basic understanding of education for teachers and related areas may, for the time being, be earned through specialist courses concerning matters related to the subject covered by the licence.
