Graduation Research A and B: Continuation Approval and Credit Recognition

This page explains the approval required to continue Graduation Research A and B after the first semester of the third year, the role of the department chair’s instructions, and when credits are recognized.

Approval and Credit Recognition After the First Semester of Year 3

At the end of the first semester of the third year, you must obtain the department chair’s approval to continue taking Graduation Research A and Graduation Research B. Taking these courses is also subject to the department chair’s instructions. If the department chair decides that continuation should not be approved, you may be required to discontinue the courses. Even if you are allowed to continue taking them, the credits are recognized in the fourth year.
