Recognition of Specialized Education Courses

This page explains how Specialized Education Courses are recognized for new, transfer, and readmitted students in the 2025 academic year.

Recognition by admission status

For new students and transfer students in the Engineering Faculty at Tokyo Senju Campus, Specialized Education Courses are recognized through course-by-course equivalency. For students readmitted to Division II of the Engineering Faculty, the standard method is also course-by-course equivalency; however, blanket recognition may be granted based on the decision of the department to which the student is readmitted.

Additional rules for readmitted students in Division II

For students readmitted to Division II of the Engineering Faculty, Specialized Education Courses are recognized regardless of the designated year of study. The recognized credit amount is based on the number of credits assigned to the corresponding courses in the readmission destination.
