Engineering Design Introduction: Requirement and Design Credits

The course is a required two-credit course in the 2026 curriculum. For the 2025 curriculum, it is one of the courses contributing to the four-credit design-subject requirement.

2025 design-credit requirement

For the 2025 academic year in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus, four credits are required for design subjects under JABEE criterion (e). The designated courses are Engineering Design Introduction, worth two credits and scheduled for the first semester of the third year, and Workshop, worth two credits. Engineering Design Introduction therefore counts toward the four-credit design-subject requirement.

2026 course status

For the 2026 academic year, Engineering Design Introduction is a required two-credit course. It is allocated to the third year, first semester, and consists of exercises and lectures.
