Computer Programming II and Teaching-Licence Requirements
This page explains how the shaded-course notation applies to Computer Programming II and distinguishes teaching-licence requirements from graduation-course classifications.
Meaning of the shaded course
In the table of subject-specific specialist matters, Computer Programming II is shaded. Shaded courses must be completed to obtain the teaching licence, regardless of whether the course is classified as required, elective, or another category for graduation requirements. For the High School Type 1 Information teaching licence, the shaded courses in this table must be completed. This includes Computer Programming II, as well as Information Society and Intellectual Property Rights, Information Ethics, Information and Occupation, Digital Signal Processing, Information and Communication Networks, and Multimedia Composition and Exercises. The graduation-course classification and the teaching-licence requirement are separate matters.
Mathematics teaching licence
For the 2025 academic year in the Faculty of Future Science, Computer Programming II is listed as a 4-credit required course in the subject-specific specialist matters for the mathematics teaching licence. Because the course is shaded, it must be completed to obtain that licence.
