Credit Recognition for Mechanical Design Through Drafting Qualifications

For the 2026 academic year, both the Level 3 Mechanical and Plant Drawing qualification with a hand-drawing task and the qualification with a CAD task are associated with Mechanical Design. The course is a first-year course worth 4 credits. For the 2025 academic year, both the Machine and Plant Drafting Grade 3 qualification with a manual machine-drawing task and the qualification with a CAD machine-drawing task are listed for credit recognition as Mechanical Design, a first-year course worth 4 credits.
