Credit Recognition for Specialized Courses on Re-entry
This page explains how specialized course credits are recognized when re-entering within the same faculty group.
How Specialized Course Credits Are Recognized
When a student re-enters within the same faculty group from the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Future Science, or Faculty of System Design and Technology, specialized courses are recognized by matching them with courses in the re-entry programme. If a course cannot be matched, the destination department may grant blanket recognition at its discretion. Recognized credits are counted using the credit value of the destination programme, regardless of the year in which the course is assigned. The grade is recorded as RS, RA, RB, or RC. The destination department may instead record RN at its discretion.
