When to Complete Introduction to the Teaching Profession

For fourth-year teaching practice and related courses, including the Teaching Practice Seminar, the required prerequisite course credits must generally be completed by the end of the third year.

Credits Required Before Fourth-Year Teaching Practice

As a general rule, you must complete the credits for Introduction to the Teaching Profession, Foundations of Education, and Educational Psychology by the end of your third year before undertaking fourth-year teaching practice or enrolling in related courses, including the Teaching Practice Seminar. You must also complete the teaching-methods courses for each subject corresponding to the subject in which you will conduct your teaching practice.
