Availability and eligibility

In the 2025 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus for the Faculty of Future Science, Introduction to Education is listed in the teacher-training subject category as a first-semester course. In the 2026 academic year at the same campus for the Engineering Faculty, Evening Division, it is also listed as a first-semester course. These teacher-training subjects are available only to students enrolled in the teacher-training programme.

Scheduled placement and credits

For the 2026 academic year, Introduction to Education is placed in the first semester of the first year and carries 2 credits for the Department of Information Systems Engineering in the Faculty of System Design and Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus. It is also placed in the first semester of the first year and carries 2 credits at Saitama Hatoyama Campus for the Faculty of Science and Technology.

Summer intensive format

For the 2025 academic year in the Faculty of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus, Introduction to Education is a 2-credit elective for first-year students. It is a lecture course scheduled as needed in the first semester and is offered as a summer intensive lecture. It is designated as a required subject for the teaching license and as a human sciences subject.
