When Mathematical Optimization Is Offered

The course placement differs by programme. The 2026 curriculum information places Mathematical Optimization in the following semesters for each programme.

Media Informatics: third- and fourth-year fall semesters

For the 2026 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus, Faculty of Science and Technology for Future Life, Department of Information Media, the curriculum map places Mathematical Optimization (2 credits) in both the third-year fall semester and the fourth-year fall semester. Machine Learning and Exercises (2 credits) is also placed in each of those semesters.

Information Systems Engineering: third-year fall semester

For the 2026 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus, Faculty of System Design and Technology, Department of Information Systems Engineering, Mathematical Optimization (2 credits) is placed in the third-year fall semester under DP1, Specialist Common Courses, Data Science. Data Science III (2 credits) and Machine Learning I (2 credits) are also placed in that semester.
