Thermal Engines course requirement

For the boiler engineer examination eligibility category covering the special and first classes, the 2025 table marks EK Mechanical Engineering, EF Advanced Mechanical Engineering, and NM Mechanical Engineering with a circle. Students in these programmes must take the Thermal Engines course.

Requirements for the examination and license

To obtain a boiler engineer license, you must pass the national examination and complete the required practical experience. Eligibility to sit the national examination requires study of subjects related to boilers, the practical training specified in the table, and completion of the Thermal Engines course.
