Recommended Course Preparation for Aspiring Teachers

For students aspiring to become teachers, the university recommends completing six credits in subject-specific teaching preparation, along with three additional education-related courses.

Recommended Courses for Teacher Candidates

For the 2026 academic year at the Faculty of Science and Technology’s Saitama Hatoyama Campus, students who aspire to become teachers are recommended to complete 2 credits of Vocational Guidance and 4 credits of Methods of Teaching Industrial Subjects, for a total of 6 credits. Students are also recommended to complete at least 2 credits each of Introduction to the Teaching Profession, Introduction to Education, and Educational Psychology. These courses are recommended preparation; the source does not state that they are mandatory requirements for obtaining a teaching license.
