Cooling-Off Cancellation Deadlines and Notice Requirements

Cooling-Off Cancellation Deadlines

For multilevel marketing, send the cooling-off cancellation notice within 20 days, counting the contract date as day one. For door-to-door sales, including catch sales and appointment sales, and for telephone solicitation sales, send the notice within 8 days, also counting the contract date as day one.

Mailing the Cancellation Notice

For the Engineering Faculty, send the cancellation notice to the other party by content-certified mail or delivery-recorded mail, and keep a copy. The cancellation is valid when the postmark is dated within the applicable cooling-off period, including a postmark on the final day.

Mailing Requirements for the Engineering Faculty Division II

For the Engineering Faculty Division II, send the cooling-off cancellation notice to the other party by content-certified mail or postal delivery record, and keep a copy. The notice must be postmarked no later than the final day of the applicable period; a postmark on that day is valid.
