For the Faculty of Science and Technology at Saitama Hatoyama Campus, this page explains when to declare your main and sub-course preferences and how course assignments are determined.

When to Select and Declare Your Courses

You select a main course and a sub-course from your second year. Submit your desired-course declaration between December and January before the end of your first year.

How Course Selection Is Determined

For the main course, you declare your preferred course or courses, and your first choice is generally given priority. For the sub-course, your own preference is prioritized. If the number of students in a main course is substantially imbalanced, selection is based on first-year GPA. Some courses select students based on GPA and interview results.
