Credit Recognition: Timing, Transcript Display, and Results
This page explains when credits are recognized, which semester transcript displays them, and when applicants are informed of the result.
When credits are recognized
Credit recognition normally takes place at the end of the assigned term in which the course concludes. More specifically, recognition is conducted at the end of the term in which the course’s offering period ends.
Which semester transcript displays the credits
For applications under the 2025 academic-year rules for the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Saitama Hatoyama Campus, the recognized course is displayed on the first-semester transcript when the application is made from January through June. When the application is made from July through December, it is displayed on the second-semester transcript.
Processing and notification of the result
Credit-recognition processing begins after the application is received. An interview or similar meeting may be held if needed. The applicant is informed of the result in about one month.
