Eligibility for Department Transfer

A department transfer is subject to available capacity, selection, and additional eligibility conditions that vary by faculty and academic year.

Conditions for Department Transfer

A department transfer may be permitted only when the destination department has available capacity and the applicant passes a selection process. Available capacity alone does not guarantee approval.

For the Faculty of Future Science in 2025 and 2026, the Faculty of Engineering in 2025, and the Faculty of System Design and Technology in 2025 and 2026, applicants must meet certain conditions, including excellent character and academic performance and an unavoidable reason for the transfer.

For the Faculty of Engineering, Second Division, in 2026, applicants must have a legitimate reason, excellent character and academic performance, and meet other specified conditions.
