Education Practicum Eligibility and Course Requirements

For the 2026 academic year, this page explains the procedures and course requirements for undertaking an Education Practicum at the School of Science and Technology's Saitama Hatoyama Campus.

Eligibility to Request a Practicum School

A formal request to a practicum school may be made in accordance with the conditions for taking the Education Practicum set out in the Education Practicum Course Requirements. The supplied information does not reproduce all of those conditions.

Required Procedures and Coursework

Before undertaking the Education Practicum, you must complete both the teacher-training course enrollment procedures and the Education Practicum enrollment application. In your fourth year, you must have taken the 2-credit Education Practicum Seminar and the 2-credit Teaching Practice Seminar, and you must have completed approximately 80% of the credits required to obtain a teaching license.
