Taking Courses from Another Faculty or Department

Eligibility, Application, and Approval

You may apply for a course offered by another faculty or department if the course is not offered in your own department and there is no course with similar content there. The course must be assigned to your year or a lower year, and there must be space available among the students taking the course. Courses assigned to a higher year are not permitted under this criterion.

For qualification-related courses, including teacher-training courses, the requirements that the course not be offered in your own department and that it be assigned to your year or a lower year do not apply. Certain courses listed in the Course Registration Guide cannot be applied for.

Submit your application during the designated course-registration period and notify the course instructor. The approval or denial of your application will be announced later by posted notice.
