Taking Courses in Other Faculties for an Additional Teaching License

The rules for taking courses in other faculties or departments differ by faculty and academic year. The information below covers the Future Science Faculty in 2026 and the Engineering Faculty in 2025.

Future Science Faculty: Course Taking During Enrollment

For students in the Future Science Faculty at Tokyo Senju Campus in the 2026 academic year, it is possible to take courses in other faculties or departments during enrollment in order to obtain a teaching license in another subject.

Engineering Faculty: Required Courses for Another-Subject License

For students in the Engineering Faculty at Tokyo Senju Campus in the 2025 academic year, credits for subjects required to obtain a teaching license in another subject must be earned by taking courses in another faculty or department that has an accredited programme for the desired subject. The courses taken must also be part of an accredited programme.
