Returning from a Leave of Absence

This page explains how to apply for readmission after a leave of absence, how approval is notified, and when readmission takes effect.

Application and timing: Faculty of Science and Engineering, Saitama Hatoyama Campus

For the 2026 academic year, a student whose reason for taking a leave of absence has ended may apply for readmission. The application must be jointly signed by the student and the guarantor, and readmission requires permission from the dean. Readmission is generally scheduled for the beginning of a semester.

Notice and dates: Faculty of Engineering, Division II, Tokyo Senju Campus

For the 2025 academic year, the readmission approval notice is sent by mail after the approval decision has been made. Readmission is generally effective at the beginning of a semester: April 1 for the first semester and September 5 for the second semester.
