Escalation of Unresolved Student Advisor Consultations
This page explains how a Student Advisor consultation is escalated when the advisor cannot address the matter.
When a Student Advisor Cannot Resolve the Matter
If a Student Advisor determines after meeting with a student that they cannot address the matter raised in the consultation, the advisor reports it to the chair of the student’s department or academic division.
Follow-Up by Academic Leadership
After receiving the report, the department chair or academic division chair takes appropriate action. When necessary, they report the matter to the dean of the faculty and the director of the Student Support Center.
