What to Do If You Lose or Damage Your Student ID

The required action depends on your academic year, campus, and faculty. In the listed cases, students must report a lost ID immediately, and some students must begin the reissue procedure immediately.

Immediate action for a lost or damaged ID

For the 2026 academic year at Saitama Hatoyama Campus in the Faculty of Science and Technology, and for the 2025 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus in the Faculty of Engineering, students whose ID is lost or damaged must immediately begin the student ID reissue procedure. For the 2025 academic year at Saitama Hatoyama Campus in the Faculty of Science and Technology, a lost student ID must be reported to the university immediately.

Return of the student ID

For the 2026 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus in the Faculty of Engineering, Division II, the printed student ID states that a loss must be reported to the university immediately. It also states that the card must be returned immediately when a new card is issued or when the student leaves the university through graduation, withdrawal, or a similar circumstance.
