How Degrees Are Awarded and Degree Certificates Conferred

This page explains the regulations used to award degrees and the authority responsible for conferring degree certificates.

Regulations governing degree awards

For the 2026 academic year at the Saitama Hatoyama Campus Faculty of Science and Technology, master's and doctoral program completers at the later stage receive their degrees in accordance with Article 23(1) of the University's Graduate School Regulations. University graduates receive their degrees in accordance with Article 32(1) of the University's Undergraduate School Regulations.

Conferral of degree certificates

For the 2026 academic year at the Tokyo Senju Campus Faculty of System Design and Technology, the president confers the respective degree certificates based on the reports described in the preceding article.
