Returning from Leave of Absence

This page explains the required approval process, return dates, and possible consequences of not completing the return-from-leave procedures.

Required Meeting and Approval

For the 2026 academic year, students returning from leave are generally required to meet with their student advisor and obtain approval by having the Return-from-Leave Application stamped.

Return Dates

For the 2025 academic year, the return date is generally the beginning of a semester: April 1 for the first semester and September 5 for the second semester.

If Procedures Are Not Completed

For the 2025 academic year, failure to complete the required return-from-leave procedures after the leave period ends may result in expulsion from the university.
