Credit Recognition for Advanced Course Registration

For the 2025 academic year, this page explains when credits from passed advanced-registration courses are recognized after admission to the university’s graduate school, how to decline recognition, and when the credits appear in your records.

Credit recognition, opting out, and timing

For courses passed through advanced course registration, credits are automatically recognized when you enroll in the university’s graduate school. If you do not want credit recognition for any of the recognized courses, you must complete a procedure after entering graduate school. The procedure will be announced through a university notice. Automatically recognized credits are reflected when grades are issued at the end of the first semester after admission to graduate school.
