Choosing September or March Graduation

This page explains when eligible students are asked to choose between graduation at the end of the first semester and graduation the following March, including the applicable timing and notice requirements.

2026 procedure at Tokyo Senju Campus

After first-semester grades are finalized, the university conducts the end-of-first-semester graduation determination and notifies the department chair of the result. Students who meet the requirements for end-of-first-semester graduation are then asked by the department chair or student adviser to choose between September graduation and graduation the following March. The confirmation procedure takes place from late August to early September, during the end-of-first-semester graduation determination period.

2025 procedure at Saitama Hatoyama Campus

Students who wish to graduate at the end of the first semester must notify the academic division head by the designated deadline after first-semester grades are announced. It is also desirable to communicate this intention to the academic division head in advance.
