First-Term-End Assessment Requests for Year-Long Courses

This page explains which year-long courses qualify for the first-term-end assessment request and when students seeking first-term-end graduation must submit it.

Courses covered by the request

The request applies to both required and elective year-long courses, but only when you took the course and attended it in the previous academic year, received a grade assessment, and failed the course. Courses offered only in the second semester are not eligible for this procedure.

When and how to submit

If you seek first-term-end graduation and want a first-term-end assessment for a year-long course that you have taken for at least one year by the end of the previous academic year, failed, and have not yet earned the credits for, submit the Request for First-Term-End Assessment of a Year-Long Course for each course during the first-term course registration period. Approval from the course instructor is required. After the submission deadline, the Administrative Office at Tokyo Senju Campus, Academic Affairs Section, obtains approval from the department collectively. Credits earned through this process count toward the required graduation credits regardless of whether you graduate at the end of the first term.
