Qualification-Based Credit Recognition: Eligibility and Application

This guide explains who may apply for credit recognition based on a qualification, which documents and submission methods are accepted, when to apply, and when results are notified.

Eligibility and required documents

Students who hold a qualification listed on the following page may apply to have it recognized for credit as a university course. Bring the paper original of the supporting document, such as an official certificate of passing, to the Academic Affairs counter. A pass announcement posted on a website or similar source is not accepted as supporting evidence.

How and when to submit your application

Applications are accepted only during the opening hours of the School of Science and Technology Office. Applications are not accepted when the office is closed, regardless of the reason. Applications by email, post, or similar methods are not accepted. If you apply from January through June, the recognized grade is recorded on the first-semester transcript. If you apply from July through December, it is recorded on the second-semester transcript. Because credit recognition may in some cases fulfill the required credits needed for progression or graduation, pay close attention to the application schedule.

Review and notification of results

After you apply, the university carries out the credit-recognition review and may conduct an interview or similar process if necessary. The application result is notified approximately one month after submission.
