Examination Timing and Alternative Assessment Formats

For the 2026 academic year, this page explains when written examinations are held and when a class may use an alternative assessment format.

When examinations are held

After the examination implementation guidelines are announced, written examinations are held either on a regular class day or on a designated examination day for the subject. Some classes may use an alternative assessment instead of a written examination, such as a presentation.

Examinations held during class

Written examinations and similar assessments marked as being held during class take place at the regular date and time of the class. The individual course instructor decides how to conduct them.
