How to Become a Poisonous and Deleterious Substances Handler

This page explains the examination and application routes, including the post-graduation application route available to students in the ES track.

Examination and application route

To become a poisonous and deleterious substances handler, take the examination administered by the relevant prefecture and then submit an application to the responsible administrative office using your certificate of passing. This route applies to students other than those in the ES track.

Application after graduation for the ES track

Students in the ES track may apply after graduation to the administrative office authorized to grant permission to work as a poisonous and deleterious substances handler, because their university studies are recognized as having completed coursework related to applied chemistry. The Tokyo Senju Campus Academic Affairs Office issues the certificate required for the application.
