Study-Abroad Eligibility and Application Requirements

This page explains when study abroad may be approved and when a prior application is required, with separate rules for the listed academic years and faculties.

When study abroad may be approved

For students at the Saitama Hatoyama Campus in the Faculty of Science and Technology in academic year 2025, study abroad may be approved when a student wishes to take courses at a foreign university or similar institution and the study abroad is recognized as educationally beneficial to the student.

Prior application required for university-recognized study abroad

For students at the Tokyo Senju Campus in the School of System Design and Technology in academic year 2026, study abroad can be recognized as study abroad from the university only if the student completes the prescribed application procedure in advance and receives recognition as study abroad.
