Borrowing, Renewing, and Returning Library Materials

Learn how to borrow library materials, renew a loan when permitted, return items at any campus, and return all materials when leaving the university.

Borrowing materials

For students in the Faculty of Engineering, Second Division at Tokyo Senju Campus in academic year 2026, borrowing procedures can be completed using the self-service checkout machine. To borrow a book with supplementary materials or a reserved item, bring your student ID to the Library Services Counter.

Renewing and returning loans

For students in the Faculty of System Design and Technology at Tokyo Senju Campus in academic year 2026, a loan can be renewed if no one has reserved the item. Complete the renewal procedure by the due date using the self-service checkout machine or the library webpage with your user ID and password. Borrowed materials must be returned by the specified due date. Materials can be returned at any campus, and the due date can be checked on the library webpage.

Returning materials when leaving the university

For students in the Faculty of Future Science at Tokyo Senju Campus in academic year 2026, materials must be returned immediately when graduating, withdrawing, being removed from the university register, or transferring to another institution.
