Department Transfer: Application Period, Selection Conditions, and Fee

For the 2026 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus in the Faculty of Engineering, this page explains when to apply for a department transfer, the selection conditions, and the required fee.

Application period and selection requirements

Students who wish to transfer to another department from the next academic year must notify the Student Support Center (Student Welfare Section) between October 1 and October 31. A department transfer may be approved after selection only when there is available capacity. Even when capacity is available, students must meet certain conditions, including excellent personal character and academic performance and a compelling reason.

Selection fee

A separate selection fee of 5,000 yen is charged for the department transfer selection process.
