When a Makeup Examination May Be Held

The conditions for a makeup examination and the instructor’s discretion to offer one differ by faculty and campus.

For the 2025 academic year, if you miss an end-of-term written examination for a truly unavoidable reason, such as sudden illness, a makeup examination may be held after you submit a makeup examination application. However, the course instructor decides whether to hold the examination, so submitting the application does not guarantee that a makeup examination will be offered.
