Courses Required for a Teaching Licence

The courses required for a teaching licence depend on the faculty and the type of licence. This page explains where the licence types and required courses are specified, as well as registration requirements for the Faculty of Engineering.

Required courses and licence types

Students seeking a teaching licence must complete the courses related to the Teacher Training Programme and the other required courses. The types of teaching licences available in each faculty are specified in University Regulations Appendix Table 2. The Teacher Training Programme courses and other required courses are specified in Appendix Table 3 or in the regulations of the relevant faculty.

Registration requirements in the Faculty of Engineering

In the 2026 Faculty of Engineering, you must register for the courses required to obtain a teaching licence and earn the required credits. The required courses differ according to the type of school and subject for the licence. Except for some automatically registered courses, including intensive courses, you must register for all courses yourself.
