Teacher-Training Course Requirements
Students taking the teacher-training course must complete additional required subjects and earn their credits beyond the credits required for graduation. The applicable requirements are listed in different university documents depending on the faculty and academic year.
Additional credits required
Students completing the teacher-training course must take and earn credits for the required teacher-training-related subjects in addition to the credits required for graduation. For the 2026 Faculty of Science and Engineering at Saitama Hatoyama Campus, these additional subjects are required beyond the faculty's general education credits and the specialized education credits designated by each academic system. The same additional-credit requirement applies to the 2025 Faculty of Engineering, Second Division, and the 2026 Faculty of Future Science at Tokyo Senju Campus, where students must complete the necessary teacher-training-related subjects in addition to the common or general education and specialized education credits specified as graduation requirements. The requirement also applies to the 2026 Faculty of Engineering, Second Division at Tokyo Senju Campus.
