Three-Year Early Graduation: Eligibility and Credit Requirements

This page explains who may pursue three-year early graduation and the conditions that apply to students in the 2025 academic year.

Who may pursue three-year early graduation

Three-year early graduation is available to exceptionally high-performing students who plan to proceed to this university’s graduate school, subject to the stated conditions. Students who wish to pursue this option should consult their department head. In the 2025 academic year, this applies to the Faculty of Systems Design and Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus. The same eligibility principle is stated for the Faculty of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus in the 2026 academic year.

Conditions for graduation after three years

For the 2025 academic year in the Faculty of Systems Design and Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus, students must meet all of the following conditions: they must wish to graduate at the end of their third year; their enrollment period must be three years; by the end of the third year, they must have earned all credits for the required subjects assigned by their department through the third year; they must satisfy their department’s early-graduation requirements; and they must have earned at least 124 credits required for graduation. For the early-graduation credit condition, subjects and credits earned at another university or another faculty, and recognized for credit by this faculty, are not counted.
